October 16th is National Boss’s day.
It has traditionally been a day for employees to thank their boss for being kind and fair throughout the year. As Administrative Assistants, we would like the opportunity to take that one step further.
We would like to encourage you to bring your executive/boss/supervisor to our chapter meeting on October 5th. It’s an opportunity for you to take them out to dinner to say “thank you”. It is also an opportunity to let them know what IAAP is all about, what we do at our meetings, and to thank them for supporting us in our efforts to grow as an admin through IAAP. For our program that evening we will host a panel discussion with local business executives answering the questions of our members. We will discuss such topics as –
What makes a successful team of executive/administrative assistant?
What are key skills and abilities you seek out in your assistant?
What additional skills do you feel would make your assistant even more valuable?
Do you see the role of administrative support staff changing?
Plus any topics you would like to discuss.
You will have the opportunity to submit your specific questions in advance so our panelists will come prepared with answers and examples.
Extend the invitation to your executive to join you for the evening and let them know it will be an opportunity for networking, meeting area vendors, and enjoying dinner and an informative program with you.
Location:
Oak Marsh Country Club
526 Inwood Avenue North
Oakdale, MN 55128
Reservations are required for dinner and must be made with Heather Hinke by 4 PM the Wednesday prior to the meeting.
